I'm a really, really lucky guy! I got to meet more of my family on Friday. Tio Julio's family came to Las Vegas for New Year's and to meet me. I love them!! Here's who came to visit--Reny (Julio's mom) and Jeff (Julio's dad), Christopher and Mitchell (Julio's two brothers) and Carla (Julio's aunt), along with Linda (Reny's good friend) and her son, V. They came to my Bubby's house to visit first, and then the next day we met them at Treasure Island for lunch. I'm not a gambling sort of guy, and I don't like all the smoke...but I loved all the lights and people at the casino!

Meet me in Vegas, baby!
Aunt Annie got Aunt Heather the best birthday present this year--a trip to see me in Vegas!! Even though they stayed the first night at the Luxor (and lost some and won some at the blackjack tables) the rest of the time I got to hang out with them. I had a lot of fun meeting Annie, who is a great playmate.
But, perhaps the best part of their visit was the hike in Red Rock Canyon. It was my first hike and I definitely hope my mommies will take me there lots more. It's now my favorite place in Vegas (except, of course, for my Bubby's lap!). And going hiking in the Baby Bjorn is definitely the way to go--you get to see everything and you don't even get tired.
Okay, well maybe I got tired at the very end...

More playmates
A quick trip from Wrightwood to Claremont took us to Melissa and Kate's (my mommies' friends) house. While I was there, I got to play with Aidan. He's a year older than me, but I'm almost as big. 'Course, he can walk around and talk already...and I can't quite do that yet. But I bet I will soon...better watch out mommies!

Hannukah, Oh Hannukah
I got to go to my family's Hannukah party at my Uncle Arnie and Aunt Holly's house in Wrightwood, CA. I guess I was technically there last year in Mama Melissa's belly...but even she wasn't sure whether or not I was actually around last year! And I certainly didn't get to meet all my relatives. And, oh my gosh, there were SO many relatives. And, all of them were so happy to see me...what fun! Sadly, I don't have pictures of all of them, but I did put up a few of me and Uncle Arnie and Holly, of me and my Zadie David and Grammy Suzanne, of Tia Tj and Mimi Marina, and of me with Mike and Connie (who live next door to Uncle Arnie and Aunt Holly--and were really fun to play with!). And, I loved meeting Grammy Suzanne for the first time...and I really love the beautiful blanket she made for me.

Mine, all mine!
Yippee, Mommy Mindy's adoption of me is final! We couldn't be in Baltimore for the ceremomy, because we're out here, but everything is signed, sealed, and delivered. Now both of my mommies are mine, all mine (not that I needed an adoption to make that so...I've got them both pretty much wrapped around my fingers already)! My elf, Diana, was there to see the kids of one our other friends get adopted in the same ceremony, so she took a picture of our lawyer, our judge, and my adoption paper.

Las Vegas, here I come!
First of all, I keep hearing people say, "What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas." But, I'm not sure how that can be true if my mommies say that I should put it all up here on the blog...
So, I took my first plane flight to get here. And, I sense that my mommies seemed kind of nervous about how it was all going to go. I kept trying to tell them that it would all be fine, and that I was going to be really good. But, no matter what I say, they just don't seem to understand me... So, they just had to wait and see. I just hung out, and ate (and they let me have as much I wanted!!), and slept. Plane flights aren't that bad...and crying on planes is for babies.
One of the best parts of coming to Vegas was getting to meet Grandpa Ron. I had heard about him before, but I had never gotten to meet him. He's pretty fun!
So, as usual, my mommies keep flashing all those lights in my eyes...even when I'm doing mundane things, like getting dried off from my bath! This a new fun towel from one of my Bubby's friends. And I also got measured and weighed--I don't think it's as accurate as my pediatrician, but in case you're curious, I'm about 18 or 19 pounds and 26 inches long! Yep...I'm a big boy at 3.5 months!

I Love Visitors!!
I'm a popular little guy. All of these people just come over and look at me and play with me. And I had a couple of special visitors last Tuesday...just before I left to go to a BIG trip to the West Coast. That'll be my next post...
So my Elf (my mommies call her Diana, but I know that she's really my Elf) came over...and she wore an ELF shirt. See, I knew she was my Elf. We had fun playing and taking pictures. She also took some fun pictures with me and mommies. And a few even have that cold white stuff in the background. I have a feeling I may be seeing more of that when I get back to DC.
Then Stacey came over. I love the blanket that she made me, but I've been waiting and waiting to actually meet her. I'm so glad that she got to come over and play before I had to leave for a while. I hope I get to see her more when we get back.
Keep you eye out on this site for a new video coming soon of my mommy being really, really silly. No hints...just keep checking back.

I'm just a party boy...
Christa turned 30 today. And, though she was the guest of honor, I definitely got a lot of attention. I was specially invited...Christa didn't want to be the youngest person there! As always, I had a great time. And, even better, I was my most charming, so no one believed that I screamed for a solid hour (almost driving Mommy Mindy over the edge) just before we went to the party.
When we got home I got to play with one of my favorite toys. We call it eyes and lips with body...cause that's what it is (but apparently it is actually called a Tito). But I really like it because it's red and squishy. It came from Israel and was a present from Valerie, Anat, and little Hillel (who lives around the corner and is just 2 months younger than me).
Rumor has it that we might be going to another party tomorrow night! I just love the nightlife...

Baby it's cold outside
So it really snowed here last Monday, and I'm not sure what I think about snow. My Brazilian genes tell me that white frozen stuff coming out of the sky is a really bad idea, and I'd better move somewhere warmer whenever I can. I'm thinking that maybe I can do fun things like snowboard and ice skate when I'm a little bigger. We'll have to see -- but meantime my mommies make me wear coats with hoods or hats. I HATE hats -- they mess up my hair and are usually too tight. Tonight it's supposed to snow even more, which is really good because maybe Mama Melissa might be able to stay home with me and Mommy Mindy!
See my cute outfit -- one of the advantages of winter is cute fleece outfits.
Another advantage of winter is fires in the fireplace. I LOVE to look at the fire.
Just so you know, I'm still doing my tummy time, and I'm even liking it a little bit.
It must be working, because I actually rolled over from front to back on Monday! I know my Bubbie will be proud.
Here's me babbling away. My mommies might not understand what I'm saying, but they will learn one day.

My Friday night adventure
Even though I was really fussy last night, when my mommies were out on the town, I like my home away from home in a place called Petworth. But I really LOVE spending time with Mimi Marina, especially when she sings to me in Portuguese!
Why does Tia TJ keep flashing that light in my eyes??? For that matter, why does EVERYONE flash that light in my eyes??? I know I'm adorable, but geesh... enough already!
